If you live in the US like me, chances are you haven’t heard of the CabinZero company yet.

They’re a UK-based bag company and only recently started picking up steam on this side of the pond. They specialize in lightweight, durable, “cabin-sized” backpacks for travelers. (The latter descriptor means that they fit the majority of airlines’ carry-on size restrictions.)

Their 44-liter backpacks come in three styles: Military, Classic, and Vintage. The Miltary-style ones in particular, which are made from military-spec nylon, are designed to take a beating wherever your travels may take you, yet only weigh about 2 pounds empty.

In addition to their 44-liter capacity, these bags sport side compression straps, a front zipped pocket, inside zipped and mesh pockets, accessory webbing on the front, lockable YKK zippers on the spacious main compartment (lock not included), and a built-in Okoban luggage tracker tag. What’s more, all of their bags come with a 10-year warranty, but if you like their Facebook page, they’ll upgrade you to a 25-year warranty.

The bags are $86 at CabinZero and come in military black, military green, and desert sand. If you’re going to be traveling internationally with it, I recommend getting the black one for the sake of being discreet.
