Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Pot
When it comes to making cold brew coffee, I’m more than happy with my Toddy cold brew system. But, I also understand that some people may prefer brewing smaller batches, or perhaps in a less… utilitarian way. That’s where the Hario Mizudashi cold brew coffee pot comes in.
Whereas the large, plain-looking Toddy brewer can produce more than 2100mL of cold brew concentrate, the slimmer and beautifully-designed Mizudashi brews only 1,000mL. It’s also a simple contraption, consisting only of a glass carafe (with plastic handle and lid) and a removable, super-fine-mesh filter basket. On top of that, you can also use it to brew hot coffee or tea, if you’re feeling too impatient to wait 12–48 hours for cold brew.
The 1,000mL version of the Mizudashi is available on Amazon in brown ($16), red ($17), and black ($20).
If you prefer even smaller cold brew batches, they also offer a 600mL version in brown ($14), red ($15), and black ($18).
Note: The included instructions may arrive in Japanese, so refer to this Amazon review for an English translation if needed.
