Most silicone ice trays you buy are flimsy things, not designed to be stacked on and generally flopping all around the place. In contrast, Peak Ice Works’ 12-cube “Everyday” ice tray has an internal steel frame that makes it easy to fill and carry the thing, plus it comes with a lid that blocks out freezer odors and allows you to stack multiple trays.

Even then, you still get the benefit of other silicone trays in that the individual 1¼” cubes are easy to remove when you want them. The cherries on top are that it’s both BPA-free and dishwasher-safe.
