Anker SOLIX “C800” and “C800 Plus” Portable Power Stations
Anker has been a leader in the portable power station game since 2016. These days, their latest releases in this space are being placed under the SOLIX energy solutions sub-brand they launched last summer.
Two of the newest additions to the family, which debuted at CES 2024 a couple months ago, are the SOLIX C800 (model A1753) and SOLIX C800 Plus (model A1754) power stations.
Designed with outdoor use in mind, these portable power stations keep you reliably powered up and connected with 768Wh of battery capacity and 1200 watts of output (or 1600W whenever certain demanding/high-wattage devices are plugged in).
With five AC outlets, two USB-C ports (one 100W, one 30W), two USB-A ports (12W each), and a DC port (120W), you can power up to 10 devices simultaneously, including electric stoves, coffee makers, kettles, and other camping appliances — all from a single unit that weighs only 24 pounds!
Both power stations feature a long-lasting battery technology the company calls “InfiniPower,” which combines 3,000-cycle LFP batteries, industrial components, and a drop-proof design to provide power every single day for up to a decade, guaranteed.
But durability isn’t the only thing that sets these stations apart. Their smart temperature control systems ensure safe charging by checking their respective battery temperatures up to 10 times per second to prevent overheating. Additionally, they feature under-20ms UPS technology, providing true uninterruptible power in the event of a blackout.
The stations also make use of “HyperFlash” technology to…
- Fully recharge in just 58 minutes when connected to a wall outlet (when “UltraFast” mode is activated in the Anker app).
- Charge up to 80% in 2.3 hours when paired with solar panels outputting up to 300 watts.
- Fully charge in 7.2 hours when plugged into your car’s charge port.
In case you’re wondering about the differences between the two models: The C800 Plus comes with a multi-function retractable pole (can act as a hanger, a tripod, or a selfie stick) and a pair of LED camping lights with three modes (flashlight, floodlight, and candle) — all of which stow away on top of the unit.
Meanwhile, the top of the C800 is simply an empty storage area for keeping your smaller gear safe and organized.
Whether you’re embarking on a weekend camping trip or planning a day at the beach, the Anker SOLIX C800 ($599) and SOLIX C800 Plus ($649) portable power stations are the perfect companions for all your outdoor adventures.
